To ensure a seamless process for submitting rare cases and contributing to the registry, the following mechanism will be implemented:
- Submission Platform:
A user-friendly, secure online portal will be developed to allow clinicians to easily submit detailed case reports and relevant patient data. The platform will be accessible, intuitive, and designed for efficient data entry. - Verification of Case to be classified as Rare:
PubMed / NLM would be used to verify the occurrence of disease. - Structured Submission Guidelines:
The platform will provide clear guidelines, ensuring that each case report contains essential clinical information such as diagnostic imaging, histopathology, treatment regimens, and follow-up outcomes. These standardized guidelines will ensure consistency and accuracy in the data collected. - Submission to a National PubMed-indexed journal biannually:
Submissions will be reviewed by an expert panel consisting of neuro-oncologists, neurosurgeons, pediatric specialists, and pathologists. Clinicians will receive feedback, ensuring the clinical relevance and accuracy of the information submitted. - Incentives for Participation:
Clinicians who contribute will be acknowledged as co-authors in resulting research publications. The registry will also offer assistance with manuscript preparation, encouraging professional development and recognition for contributing to the project. - Ongoing Engagement and Reporting:
Participants will receive regular updates on registry progress, new research findings, and emerging clinical trends related to rare CNS neoplasms. This will ensure that contributors remain engaged and informed throughout the course of the project.
